The eROVER Smart Balance Wheel is the new kid on the block when it comes to self balancing hoverboards. Its specs and performance are virtually identical to more expensive boards such as the IO HAWK.

TECH SPECS

The main advantage of the eROVER comes with its affordable price. It retails around $300 and you can find them as cheap as $250. Of course, on top of that, you'll still have to pay a rather hefty shipping fee, but, in most cases, you'll get your self balancing scooter for around $350 overall.

The build is solid, and the board performs as expected. There are other boards rebranded with other names, and we've had a few units with some sub-par build quality, or underpowered motors, but the eROVER is not one of them. We have three eROVERs and they all perform exactly like a more expensive board.

The packaging is pretty basic, and, sometimes, you will find a EU plug instead of a US one with your board. A little annoying, though this can easily be fixed by using an adapter.

This Smart Balance Wheel's charging time is around 10 hours, with one full charge lasting around 9 miles (or about 1.5 hours of continuous use).

The board feels fast and responsive, with the only downside being the one that all 7-inch wheel self balancing boards share, which is that it's pretty hard to ride it on rough terrain. And by "rough," we mean, "not perfectly smooth."

Whoops!

If you're planning to actually use your smart balance wheel to go somewhere, you'd be much better off with a 10-inch inflatable wheel board.

In conclusion, if you wanna have fun and you don't wanna break the bank, the eROVER Smart Balance Wheel is the way to go!

FINAL THOUGHTS

Overall the best quality self balancing scooter we've tested. Though it is on the pricier side, you get the guarantee of having the best components out there, and no underpowered motors or lower mAh battery.
